UPOWA has landed an agreement with Redrow to supply solar photovoltaic (PV) requirements to the national house builder’s housing developments over the next three years.
As part of the partnership, UPOWA will supply end-to-end renewable energy services to the company’s Thames Valley, Southern Counties, Southern, South East and South West regional offices.
The design, product supply, installation and maintenance of the solar PV systems will also be managed by UPOWA, with 400W roof-integrated solar panels installed “where there is need.”
The agreement will help create energy-efficient new homes that will help insulate customers from rising energy costs.
“We are delighted that Redrow has chosen UPOWA as its trusted solar PV partner to help future-proof their developments for the next three years,” said James Bull, founder and managing director of UPOWA.
“We look forward to supplying a one-stop shop solar PV solution to ensure Redrow save time and money on meeting the new Part L Regulations and create high-quality, eco-friendly new homes that reduce energy bills for homeowners.”
The partnership follows UPOWA’s announcement at the end of last year, which revealed it had been chosen to provide solar PV and battery storage for the “ground-breaking” Wild Walk development in Telford.
On 26-27 June Solar Power Portal’s publisher, Solar Media, will host its annual UK Solar Summit in London. This year, the Summit will explore solar’s role in the UK’s energy mix, analysing how this will change as we draw closer to the Government’s net zero target.
